Tax assistance is offered to the community at no cost for individuals and families with total income under $60,000. All returns are e-filed.

Hill Country Community Needs Council has partnered with the IRS VITA program to offer tax assistance for households with income under $60,000.

- Appointments are available on Mondays & Thursdays from 01/29/24 – 04/15/24. | Las citas están disponibles los lunes y jueves del 29/01/24 al 15/04/24.
- Appointment times are between 1:00-5:45pm. | El horario de las citas es entre la 1:00 y las 5:45 p.m.
- A Spanish interpreter will be available on Thursdays ONLY from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. (You may bring an interpreter with you.)| Un intérprete de español estará disponible SOLO LOS JUEVES de 3 p.m. a 5 p.m. (Puede traer un intérprete con usted).

When you come for your tax appointment, you are REQUIRED to bring the following documents. | Cuando venga a su cita de impuestos, DEBE traer los siguientes documentos.
- A copy of your 2022 tax return. | Una copia de su declaración de impuestos de 2022.
- Social Security Card (or ITIN letter) for each household member. | Tarjeta de Seguro Social (o carta ITIN) para cada miembro del hogar.
- Photo ID’s. | Identificaciones con foto.
- W-2 Forms | Formularios W-2
- 1099 Forms | Formularios 1099
- Letter 6419 – Child Tax Credit Summary | Carta 6419 – Resumen del Crédito Tributario por Hijos
- Daycare Receipt & Provider ID | Recibo de guardería e identificación del proveedor.
- 1095-A (Marketplace Insurance report) | 1095-A (Informe del Mercado de Seguros)
- If Self Employed – All Income and Expenses | Si trabaja por cuenta propia: todos los ingresos y gastos.

Our Services
Crisis Assistance
Assistance is provided for housing, utilities, child care, medications, emergency medical procedures, dental, hearing and vision expenses.
Counseling & Domestic violence support
Victims of physical, emotional and sexual abuse receive critical counseling by licensed professionals. As they get their lives back on track, clients are also provided budgeting, goal-setting and financial planning assistance.
Senior Services
Needs Council volunteers provide “friendly support” to homebound seniors and rides to medical appointments since many have no family nearby. Community members adopt and provide gifts to these seniors and disabled adults at Christmas.
Child & Family Services
Children and their families are provided assistance with coats, school supplies, food, childcare, scholarships, parenting classes and Christmas assistance with the help of many community volunteers.
