Something from the Heart Campaign

Dear Friends,
Celebrate: to show happiness that something good or special has happened.

Our Something from the Heart Campaign is a celebration of this community’s support of its neighbors. Due to your support of the Needs Council over the past 30 years, many good and special people’s lives have been blessed.

People come to the Needs Council fearful, often in despair. Some need a little help with a winter utility bill. Others require more long term assistance with budgeting, counseling, or advice on leaving an abusive relationship. Still others require a ride to a medical appointment, assistance with school supply costs, or a parenting class. The staff and volunteers work with each person individually to meet these needs. Your investment in children, seniors and families has paid off.  Our community thrives due to the self-sustaining spirit of helping our neighbors through tough times. We are excited to announce that all donations made by March 31st will be matched up to $85,000 by the Dian Graves Owen Foundation!

In Andy Andrews’ book, The Noticer, the main character advises, “Your time on this earth is a gift to be used wisely, consider even the simplest action you take, for your lives matter beyond measure…” Each life that is touched by the Needs Council matters and each donation matters as it enriches the giver as much as the receiver. Won’t you join in this celebration of community with a gift that will sustain and uplift the lives of those in need?
